Dr. Robert Hayes
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Former Chair of AI Research at MIT, Dr. Hayes has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers in machine learning and holds 30+ patents in applied AI. His research on sample-efficient reinforcement learning and multi-modal foundation models is widely cited in the field. Before founding AI Theoria, he led a 45-person research group at MIT that produced multiple systems now deployed at scale in healthcare and financial services. Dr. Hayes holds a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University and advises the National AI Safety Institute.
Dr. Yuki Tanaka
Chief Research Officer & Co-Founder
Dr. Tanaka served as a principal scientist at Microsoft Research Asia before joining AI Theoria. She holds a PhD from the University of Tokyo and is recognized as one of the leading specialists in AI safety and alignment research. Her work on formal verification of neural networks and interpretability frameworks has been adopted by three major AI labs. At AI Theoria, she leads the AI Safety practice and oversees all research publications and patent filings.
Marcus Webb
Managing Director & Co-Founder
Marcus brings 15 years of AI strategy advisory experience to AI Theoria, including a partnership role at McKinsey's Global AI Practice where he led AI transformation programs for eight Fortune 500 companies. His expertise in translating technical AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes bridges the gap between the research team and enterprise clients. Marcus holds an MBA from Wharton and a BS in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. He has been named to Forbes' list of top AI business advisors.
